Ms Linda Li
Ms Linda Li obtained a master’s degree in Education from East China Normal University and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Xinjiang Normal University. She is currently the Acting Chinese Co-Principal of YWIES Shanghai Lingang.
Ms Li joined YCIS Shanghai in 2002. Over the 13 years’ service in YCIS Shanghai, she has successively served as Grade 2–12 Chinese Teacher, Homeroom Co-Teacher, IGCSE Chinese Teacher and Chinese Team Leader. In 2015, as a founding member of the management team, she joined the preparations for the opening of YWIES Shanghai Lingang and became the Primary Chinese Academic Co-ordinator in 2017, playing a key role in developing Primary school curriculum and obtaining managerial experience. With her outstanding performance in teaching, she was awarded the High Potential Teacher in 2008 and the Master Teacher in 2018. She has organised and co-ordinated various school activities, guided students to participate in different curriculum competitions and social activities, actively carried out teaching and research activities as well as new teachers’ professional quality training courses. She has accumulated rich experience in teaching and management.
Ms Li, who has dedicated herself to education for 17 years, firmly believes that education has a significant effect on one’s growth, and knows how to integrate international education with Chinese reality. As the Acting Chinese Co-principal, she always adheres to holistic education, pays attention to the development of students’ character at all times, and devotes herself to creating a learning environment integrating essence of the East and the West, so as to help students shape their characters and develop to their full potential.
