YWIES Shanghai Lingang offers a four-year Overseas University Preparatory Programme (OUPP), consisting of a two-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme and a two-year University Preparation (A Level) programme.
The IGCSE and A Level certificates are issued by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and are widely recognised in the world. YWIES Shanghai Lingang has created an authentic international atmosphere and learning environment which facilitates graduates to pursue further studies in top overseas universities.
Our first graduates were successfully admitted to the world-class universities with their excellent academic results and outstanding performance. 100% of the graduates received offers from overseas universities, of which 67% were from the top 100 universities in the world. All students of the first graduating class in YWIES Shanghai Lingang got university offers, with a total of 65 university offers, and five of those students won scholarships. They got offers from the most famous world-class universities, such as the London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, University of St Andrews in the UK; University of Sydney, Adelaide University in Australia; University of California, and California Institute of the Arts in the US.

admitted to the top 50 universities in the world; Among the students applying for the
art direction, 80% of the students were admitted to the top 10 art schools in
the world; A total of more than RMB 3.3 million yuan scholarships was won!
IGCSE
Cambridge IGCSE provides a study programme across a wide range of subject areas. Within the curriculum, there is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Students graduating from IGCSE can continue to study the A Level programme at YWIES Shanghai.
A Level
A Level is based on the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Programme issued by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). English is the key medium of instruction. It offers various choices of courses. Students are able to choose the most suitable courses according to their own career planning, interests and specialties. As an internationally recognised curriculum and examination, A Level assists students to get fully prepared for their further studies in top overseas universities.
YWIES Shanghai Lingang is somewhat different from schools that focus on a single curriculum. Our curriculum involves a broad range of subjects to meet the diverse needs of our students. It offers courses covering language, science, the humanities and social sciences, and a variety of development courses to enable students to

Yew Wah's international high school curriculum is rich and diversified, and comprehensively assists students to complete their academic dreams. The Careers and University Guidance Office, which helps students to develop their individuality, is also responsible for the important mission of helping students successfully go to overseas universities and open the door to exploring the world. In their daily work, the Careers and University Guidance Counsellor understands students’ potential through guidance lessons and one-on-one interviews; organises student activities from time to time to discover students’ personality characteristics and talent; explores students’ academic direction through each semester’s academic examination planning and course selection guidance; organises parent lectures, online classrooms, etc., to provide students with comprehensive university application guidance and assistance.
