    • For this school year, we have started a new way to help students learn about and choose their after-school activities (ASA).

To help students choose the ASAs more precisely before the formal online registration, we held two ASA Fairs for Primary and Secondary, respectively.

At the ASA Fair, the course booths that teachers carefully prepared drew students’ eyes immediately. The wonderful and rich courses were displayed intuitively, which aroused students’ interest and many of them signed up. The scene was as lively as a garden party. Each course had a booth and students had the opportunity to communicate with ASA teachers face to face, which helped them learn more about the course content. The booth of the course Mad Science showed us a laboratory and kids experienced the charm of science through interesting experiments. A live performance from the karate coaches attracted many people. Full sets of equipment for soccer, tennis, basketball and hockey were all displayed at the scene.

Compared with students just choosing ASAs online, this year, we helped students understand each course deeper through the ASA Fair before the formal online registration, which will definitely help students succeed in choosing proper courses according to their needs.
This year our school offers more than 200 wonderful ASA courses. Let's take a look at the ASAs that will be added this semester.

Academic: Literacy Circle, Pictionary, German, English Public Speaking & Debate, Writing Workshop, the Tone of Song Dynasty, SETA (Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the Plant Patrol, and the Social Enterprise Challenge

Arts: Piano, Sewing Club, Construction Club, the Zodiac, Photography for Beginners, Flower Arrangement, Iron Art, Harmonica, African Drum, Surreal Water Book Illustration, Guitar Painting/Art Installation Sculpture, Mapping the Genes of Western Painting, and Hand Paper Rolling
Popular courses from last school year will continue, such as Broadway Musical, Sculpture Lego Club, Lingang Strings, Soccer Varsity, American Flag Football, Kayak, Lingang Singers, Model United Nations, Rainbow STEAM, and Speech and Debate. We believe that these courses will not disappoint our students.

The ASAs of the new school year will officially start on September 2. We look forward to these wonderful after-school activities!
