    Loud Cheers for Winners at Residence Hall Award Ceremony

    • The long-awaited award ceremony for the YWIES Shanghai Lingang Residence Hall kicked off in the auditorium to warm applause from students on the evening of 25 February 2021.


      At the end of each semester, Residence Hall Teachers for each floor and study hall teachers select the winners based on character, talent and all-round growth.


      There are many prizes for Primary and Secondary Sections. These include:


      1. Character Development

      • Positive Attitude Award
      • Respect for Teachers and Discipline Award
      • Harmonious Relationship Award
      • Best Etiquette Award
      • Best Humor Award

      2. Daily Performance

      • Most Independent Award
      • Most Organised Award
      • Best Personal Hygiene Award
      • Overall Progress Award

      3. Academic Performance

      • English Communication Diligence Award
      • Excellent Student Award in Study Hall

      4. Others:

      • Epidemic Prevention Model Award
      • Most Valuable Award
      • Best Leadership Award

      At the ceremony, Mr Jeroen Gates, the Western Co-Principal, and Ms Xu, the Head of the Residence Hall, talked about the growth and progress of their wards over the past semester and congratulated the nominees and winners. They encouraged students to learn from the winners.


      Residence Hall is an important part of campus life and a second classroom for learning. It’s also a home for students to enjoy their youth, make friends, learn and grow. The award ceremony helps empower and inspire students who are actively encouraged to set out personal goals for life.
