On June 21, 2020, the first Upper Secondary graduation ceremony for YWIES Shanghai Lingang was held in Ritz-Carlton hotel.

Our graduates are successfully admitted to the world-class universities by their excellent academic results and outstanding performance. 100% of the graduates have received offers from overseas universities, of which 67% are from the top 100 universities in the world.

All 12 students of the first graduating class in YWIES Shanghai Lingang have got university offers, with a total of 65 university offers, and five of those students have won scholarships. They got offers from the most famous world-class universities, such as the London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, University of St Andrews in the UK; University of Sydney, Adelaide University in Australia; University of California, and California Institute of the Arts in the US.

Among all the university offers they received from overseas universities, 63% are from the UK, that is 41 offers; 26% are from the US, that is 17 offers; 9% are from Australia, Ireland, Canada, that is six offers. Another offer was from Hong Kong, China.

Five Students Won Scholarships

To our delight, five students won university scholarships. They are Billy Bao, Vivian Guan, Lynn Song, Eric Yang and Helen Xu.

Billy Bao
Billy Bao was awarded a ￡5,000 annual scholarship from the University of Glasgow.

Vivian Guan
Vivian Guan won a $6,000 / year scholarship from the Savannah College of Art and Design, a $10,000 / year scholarship from the Ringling College of Art and Design, a $10,000 / year scholarship from the Otis College of Art and Design, and a $10,000 / year scholarship from the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Lynn Song
Lynn Song won a $23,000 / year scholarship from Otis College of Art and Design，a $13,000 / year scholarship from California College of the Arts and a $10,000 / year scholarship from Ringling College of Art and Design.

Helen Xu
Helen Xu was awarded a $7,500 / year scholarship from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Eric Yang
Eric Yang was awarded a ￡3,000 annual scholarship from the Queen's University Belfast.
