At this time, no matter where you and your child are, the school is committed to the safety and well-being of your children. During the school closure, we will make full preparations for our campus environment, safety protection and other aspects in anticipation of the return to school.

Comprehensive Disinfection and Sanitation on Campus

We attach great importance to the epidemic situation and have established an emergency team group specifically to develop a series of disinfection plans. All colleagues in the logistics department have done a full range of disinfection work to ensure the health and safety of our teachers and students.

lProfessional sterilisation group under the CDC will give comprehensive disinfection of our campus

We will invite the professional disinfection group under the CDC to our school to conduct a whole school's disinfection with professional equipment.

lComprehensive disinfection and cleaning inside the building

In addition, we will also carry out our own comprehensive disinfection and cleaning inside the campus, including but not limited to: disinfection of all air conditioning filters and window screens, and cleaning and disinfection of carpets in the classrooms. In view of the fact that our school is a boarding school, in addition to the above series of disinfection work, we will also carry out a separate disinfection and cleaning for all the linens, curtains, carpets, etc. in the Residence Hall.

lProceeding the daily disinfection strictly according to the daily disinfection schedule

We will make a daily disinfection schedule for daily disinfection, including daily ventilation, ultraviolet light disinfection; All tables, chairs, armrests, door knobs, elevator buttons, etc. will be wiped with chlorine-containing disinfectant. All entrances and exits of the campus and classrooms are equipped with disinfectant to facilitate hand disinfection of all teachers and students.

Strict Personnel Safety Protection

lStrict system to confirm the health status of our staff

We require all logistics (cleaning, engineering, catering, security) staff to fill in a personal health report before going to work, so as to ensure that they can only work if they are in good physical condition. We take the temperature of all staff in each department in the morning and afternoon and record it. All employees must wear masks, goggles, clean and neat work clothes, and a work cap according to the requirements of each department before work.

lStrict system to protect the campus from outsiders

During the period of the epidemic prevention and control, we require strict control of personnel access during the outbreak. No visitors are allowed on campus in this period. Secondly, the entrance of the campus and the entrance and exit of each building shall be equipped with disinfection mats (sprayed with disinfectant water every 2 hours).

Tracking and Collecting Travel Itineraries and Health Situations of Teachers, Students and Staff

lWe pay close attention to each student's daily health status

We pay close attention to the daily health status of each student. According to the requirements of the district education bureau, we update and report the travel plans and health status of teachers, students and staff. For now, the HR Department is responsible for the information collection of the itinerary and health status of staff from all departments, and the core teachers are responsible for the information collection of the health status of the students of each class.

lEach student need to come back to Shanghai in advance for 14 days home quarantine

In order to ensure the health of each student, we require all students to return to Shanghai to undergo 14 days or more of home quarantine before returning to school. During home quarantine, the students should keep a close watch on their health and report any signs of fever, flu or respiratory problems to school.

Provide Online Health Advice to Students and Parents

During the winter vacation, we shared with you a list of preventive measures provided by the Department of Health of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for travellers and advice from the World Health Organization (WHO).

lAvoid visiting hospitals. If it is necessary to visit a hospital, wear a surgical mask and observe strict personal and hand hygiene;

lAvoid touching animals (including game) or their droppings;

lAvoid visiting wet markets, live poultry markets, or farms;

lAvoid making close contact with patients, especially those with symptoms of acute respiratory infection;

lDo not consume game meat and do not visit food premises where game meat is served;

lAdhere to food safety and hygiene rules such as avoiding consuming raw or undercooked animal products, including milk, eggs, and meat, or foods which may be contaminated by animal secretions, excretions, or contaminated products, unless they have been properly cooked, washed, or peeled;

lIf feeling unwell when outside the country, especially if experiencing a fever or cough, wear a surgical mask, inform hotel staff and/or tour guides, and seek medical advice at once; and

lAfter returning, consult a doctor promptly should you have a fever or other symptoms, and take the initiative to inform a doctor of any recent travel history and/or any exposure to animals, and wear a surgical mask to help prevent the spread of the disease.
