On October 30, YWIES Shanghai Lingang held a parent-teacher conference (PTC) for the semester.

The most distinctive feature of the PTC is that the Chinese and western core teachers as well as subject tutors enjoyed one-on-one interaction with each family.

Teachers explained each student’s learning path to parents and painted a picture of the student’s life at school. Teachers also put forward many personalised suggestions for each child’s further development.

Through the PTC, the school and the family gained a more comprehensive understanding of each child, while at the same time offering parents insights into the school and its teachers. The two sides worked together to help in the continuous growth of students.

In addition to PTC, Yew Wah maintains constant family-school communication through diverse channels to ensure uninterrupted home schooling information and to keep parents up to date on things like the parent information day, important letters, family committees, parent workshops, ClassDojo app operations and so on.

We are making the educational process a constantly growing partnership between the school and the family as we go forward hand in hand to enhance student potential.
